Can the Gunners extend their lead?

On this matchday we can look forward to the prestige duel of the last few years, but this year the circumstances are a bit different than before. The two dominant teams were Man. City and Liverpool, but this year the Reds are yet to really get going. That’s why it will be particularly interesting to see how they perform in the game against the Citizens and whether they can pick up points against them. All Arsenal fans will be hoping for that as it would give them a bigger points advantage over Man. City.
Goal:
Alisson Becker (41₵, Liverpool): The Brazilian made a strong 250 against league leaders Arsenal, although Liverpool conceded three goals. City will also create a lot of chances and Becker will have the opportunity to score a lot of points again.
Defence:
Toti (42₵, Wolverhampton): The 23-year-old centre-back was allowed to play from the start for the first time in a while on the last matchday and immediately made a solid play. Against Chelsea he made 258 points, despite the 0:3 defeat. This week they face Nottingham, who have only managed to score one goal away from home. With this offensive weakness, Toti could win easy duels and thus earn safe points.
Eric Dier (81₵, Spurs): He couldn’t really convince in the last two games, but you shouldn’t underestimate him on this matchday. Defensively, he can do a lot, but could also shine offensively, due to his strength at set pieces, as he could already score twice and shoot at goal four times.
Tosin Adarabioyo (68₵, Fulham): The Fulham centre-back was by no means an option at SPITCH at the start of the season. In his first five games, he failed to score more than 200 once. But in his last four games he shows that he can do better and comes to almost 300 average points. For Fulham, it is against the other promoted side Bournemouth and the 25-year-old could once again show what he is made of.
Wout Faes (81₵, Leicester): Leicester signed the 24-year-old Belgian from Stade de Reims in the summer and for three games now, he has been a regular in the starting line-up. He comes to 287 average points and that without any positive offensive points. The Foxes need a win and Faes could contribute a lot with his class.
Midfield:
Alexis Mac Allister (74₵, Brighton): The Argentine is having a very strong season with Brighton and could impress again in this game. In his last four games he scored more than 300 points three times and he could show his strengths again against Brentford.
Conor Gallagher (74₵, Chelsea): Under Graham Potter, Conor Gallagher is getting more and more game time and after scoring the winner against Palace on matchday 9, he started the last game and scored 245 points again. It is not yet certain whether he will be allowed to play again against Villa, but if he is in the starting eleven then he should be on the radar.
Tomas Soucek (81₵, West Ham): The Czech actually always delivers for the Hammers and also regularly scores a lot at SPITCH. Both offensively and defensively, he shows his class game after game and could put in another good performance against Southampton.
Ruben Neves (123₵, Wolverhampton): Despite his now high market value, the Portuguese is still a very good midfield option. He is being courted by Barcelona and other top clubs for a reason, but for Wolves his transfer would be a major setback as he dictates their game and can be seen everywhere on the pitch.
Attack:
Aleksandar Mitrovic (128₵, Fulham): He had to be substituted in the last game due to injury, but Fulham have announced that the injury is not bad and that he can play again on Saturday. Should he play, he has a very big scoring potential, but they are still taking some risks as there is a possibility that he will be substituted to be spared.
Leandro Trossard (77₵, Brighton): He has been one of the best players this season and was able to attract attention, especially with his hat-trick against Liverpool. Unfortunately, in the last game against Spurs he was then unable to play as strongly, but against Brentford it is possible that he will set off fireworks again.
Other alternatives:
Other players to keep an eye on are Jonathan Evans (81₵, Leicester) who is having a very strong season, Mason Mount (101₵, Chelsea) who has been outstanding of late and Allan Saint-Maximin (86₵, Newcastle) who could return to the Magpies starting eleven after injury.
