Our preview of the 22nd Matchday in Prem. League

In the Prem. League the title race is getting closer and closer. While Man. City does not allow any mistakes and takes every point. Their direct rivals are going through a difficult phase and are dropping more and more points. Man. City now has a more than solid lead of 10 points. On Saturday at 13:30pm. Man. City and Chelsea meet and we can all look forward to this game. Chelsea could already prove last matchday against Liverpool that they are ready for an open exchange of punches and won’t let themselves down so easily. For both teams it is a match of the highest importance. With a win Chelsea can make the title race exciting again, it would probably be the last chance to stop the Citizens running away once again.
On Sunday we have the London derby at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham and Arsenal are in the middle of the fight for the international places and it should be a no less exciting game than Man. City vs. Chelsea.
Many top teams will meet on this matchday. Do I still go for the players from these games? Or is this the chance to pick up players who are not on everyone’s radar? In this preview you will be introduced to the players who can shine despite strong opponents and also the players who are not in every team and can make the difference.
Goalkeeper:
Alvaro Fernandez (8.0m, Brentford): With an average of over 200 points, you can’t go wrong with Fernandez. Since it’s against Liverpool, he will get a lot of action. However, the opposition is missing Salah and Mané, so there is a good chance that Fernandez will be able to keep the shots on goal away from the net.
Defense:
Mason Holgate (6.3 million, Everton): After a good game against Brighton in which he made 241 points it goes against Norwich. There the defender should be able to continue the performance of the last matchday and since Everton goes into this game as the clear favorite, he can play many passes and also participate in one or two offensive actions.
Davinson Sanchez (8.8m, Tottenham): He is in absolute top form and even managed to cap it off with the decisive goal in the game against Watford. In the last five games, the defender has always shot on the opponents goal at least once. He should be able to win a few duels against Arsenal this weekend and inspired by his goal against Watford, he is guaranteed to get involved in the offense as well, making him a must-have for every SPITCH manager.
Aymeric Laporte (16.3m, Man. City): Man. City is on a heater and with that every single player. Pep Guardiola’s defense is not letting anything go to waste this season. League best with only 13 goals conceded. Laporte manages to average 272 points in SPITCH and is thus among the elite defenders. Against Chelsea he should once again prove his duel strength and if he can continue this form then every SPITCH manager should have him on their books.
Marc Guehi (9.6m, Crystal Palace): With an average of 265 points, this is a player you can’t go wrong with. In the last two games against Norwich and West Ham, he scored 384 and 299 points. So due to his good form, he offers a good fallback option from the expensive stars on this match day.
Midfield:
Phillipe Coutinho (5,0 million, Aston Villa): The Brazilian returns to the Prem. League and makes his debut for Aston Villa. He costs just 5 million and is therefore an absolute bargain. With coach Steven Gerard he had played together in his time at Liverpool and hopes his career will reignite at Aston Villa.
Declan Rice (12.1 million, West Ham): A machine in the West Ham midfield. He manages to crack the 200 point mark in almost every game. West Ham already managed to get a win against Leeds in the FA Cup on 09.01. Therefore, they will look to this game with much anticipation and guaranteed to have many offensive actions. So an optimal scenario in which Rice finds himself. He already has 11 shots on goal this season and will try to increase that number on Sunday.
Ruben Neves (9.6m, Wolverhampton): Neves was one of the lynchpins in the game against Man. United a great facilitator in the Wolves’ offense. He managed to earn 287 points and came up with 2 shots on goal. Now it’s off to Southampton where hopefully he can deliver another performance like that and fire one or two on the goal.
Attack:
Michail Antonio (17.6 million, West Ham): In his last three games he scored over 300 points each time. In the game against Southampton, he only needed the second half to do that. Now they are going against Leeds and Michail Antonio is one of the players who will definitely be in the top teams of this SPITCH matchday and rightly so.
Harry Kane (20.2 million, Tottenham): Since the arrival of Antonio Conte he is beginning to play a lot better than he did before. In his last four games he scored over 300 points in three of them and scored three times. With Arsenal being their opponent on Sunday he is looking to win Tottenham the London derby.
Diogo Jota (15.5 million, Liverpool): -120 points in the last game scare most SPITCH managers off for now. It was not an easy game for him against Chelsea and then the substitution came on top of that. Against Brentford, however, you can expect a different Diogo Jota again. Without Salah and Mané he will take most of the shots and that is certainly great for every SPITCH Manager who is going to pick him.
Other alternatives: Other players to keep an eye on are Nelson Semedo (8.8m, Wolverhampton), who is in good form at the moment and in the game against Man. United he made 331 points. Jarrod Bowen (14.8m, West Ham) who has already collected 34 shots on goal and Antonio Rüdiger (12.8m, Chelsea) who averages 274 points and doesn’t shy away from the challenge in games against the top clubs.
