The next English Week is coming up!

The schedule of all teams is pretty packed at the moment and one english week follows the next, but of course we at SPITCH would not complain about that at all. We are happy to be able to tweak lineups and cheer on the couch again during the week. On Tuesday and Wednesday we have two more interesting Champ. League matchdays ahead and in this preview we take a look at the players who can move your lineup further up the rankings. This time, however, be careful with your lineup, because due to the high load of the teams, it is guaranteed that there will be one or the other early substitution, if the game is decided early.

Matchday 5a

Isco (79₵, Sevilla): Sevilla faces Copenhagen at home on Tuesday night and is one of the biggest favorites on this matchday, at least according to the bookmakers. Moreover, nothing but a win counts in this match for both teams if they still want to reach the knockout stage. Therefore, I expect a match where both teams will play with an open target. However, the home side has a much better offensive quality than the visitors from Denmark. Isco is therefore in a good position to collect a lot of +65 from shots on goal, and the potential for a scorer always exists with a player of Isco’s caliber anyway.

Rafa Silva (62₵, Benfica): Everything is going perfectly for Benfica at the moment. In the league they are by far in first place and in the Champ. League, they are five points clear of their pursuers in second place in Group H. Things look a bit different for the guests from Italy. In the league they are just in the upper midfield of the table and in the Champ. League, Juve would currently not qualify for the knockout phase. Benfica already won the first leg between the two teams and I expect them to be successful again at home. Therefore, my focus falls on Rafa Silva, who delivers an average of almost three shots per game and also convinces with 312 average points at a market value of just 62 credits.

Fabián Ruiz (75₵, Paris): The 26-year-old Spaniard in the midfield of Paris is now one of the starters, at least in normal league play. In the Champ. League, however, it has not been enough for a starting eleven appearance so far, but that could change this matchday. With Veratti suspended for the game against Maccabi, Ruiz should take his place in midfield. The Spaniard has delivered solid performances in the league so far and with Paris going into this home match as clear favorites, he offers a great option for your midfield. I expect Ruiz to play a variety of passes and against the clear underdogs, with a bit of luck he could even get an assist.

Matchday 5b

Edin Dzeko (77₵, Inter): Inter has Plzen, the last team in the group, as a guest and yet they have to approach this match seriously and win in order to land safely in the knockout phase. Therefore, I think that Dzeko can be a good option for your forward. The now 36-year-old striker still knows where the goal is and especially in a game at home against Plzen he should get many chances to prove that. On top of that, he is on the market for only 77 credits, which makes him even more worthwhile and an early substitution wouldn’t be too fatal either.

Antoine Griezmann (91₵, Atletico): The contract drama surrounding Griezmann has finally come to an end and that seems to be doing the Frenchman some real good, as he is currently back in good form. In the last three games, the striker scored three goals and one assist. Now Bayer Leverkusen is a guest in the Spanish capital and I think Griezmann has high-scoring potential in this game. On the one hand, Atletico still has a score to settle from the first leg and, on the other hand, they have to win, otherwise it might be difficult to get into the knockout stage.

Piotr Zielinski (82₵, Napoli): Napoli continues to be in outstanding form in both Serie A and Champ. League. On Wednesday night they host the group last Rangers, who have a goal difference of 1:16 in the Champ. League so far. Even though Napoli has already qualified for the knockout stage, I think they will want to deliver a good game in front of their own fans. The Pole is an important key piece in Napoli’s offense and has scored three goals in four games so far in the Champ. League and assisted two. So for 82 credits Zielinski should provide a good option for your midfield.
