Your strikers for season mode!

Check out the match pairings as it could be a season mode matchday. Lots of clear favourites and some great options for the popular 334 system. With all the over supply in the forwards, you naturally wonder who you’re going to line up and to help you decide a little, today I’m going to preview my top 4 forwards for the matchday and hope they give you a top 5 lineup.

Mohamed Salah (Cost: 150 market value points, Liverpool): The 30-year-old Egyptian is finally getting going. With 89 minutes per game, coach Jürgen Klopp is clearly showing him that he never doubted his qualities, finally paying him back. 3.1 shots per game, penalty taker and 18 scorer points are one thing, the upcoming opponent and the 9:0 first leg result speak an even better language. Watch out at 1:30pm as the first game offers Salah, Nunez and Gakpo a lot of scoring potential.

Heung-Min Son (cost: 125 market value points, Spurs): Spurs will want to quickly forget the CL exit, so I’m speculating on a scoring explosion from Kane and Son. The penalty taker is a bit too expensive for me and so I go with the top scorer of the past Prem. League season. 2.3 shots per game, a decent average with an average of 77 minutes played and eight scorer points show me there is still a lot of room for improvement. The upcoming opponent could put him in last season’s form.

Wout Weghorst (cost: 82 market value points, Man. United): No, it’s not Rashford! Even though Marcus Rashford is currently United’s best player with the best goal rate for this fixture as well, I suspect his strike partner Weghorst might be swimming a little under the radar. 1.1 shots per game and no goals yet doesn’t sound good, but at some point the Dutchman’s knot has to break and if it does, you’ll be the only one likely to go into the tournament or season mode with him. His goal rate is 36% and his price is well below that of comparable strikers. In fact, only one in this preview undercuts him in price.

Callum Wilson (cost: 69 market value points, Newcastle): And this is the Newcastle striker who has had several outstanding, but at the same time some poor SPITCH games this season. He has one of the best goal ratios, gets 2.4 shots per game and already ten scoring points in just 18 games. For the price, a very low risk on little net points from the England international.

About me: Quite simply, I am one of you. I’ve been playing SPITCH since the beginning (2018), topped the community leaderboards for years, and have managed to take first place in our “main event” twice. However, I decided with a heavy heart to hang up my SPITCH shoes over a year ago. Now I am part of the SPITCH crew and it is my job to give you the best possible support.
